How it works
A scar forms when inflammation damages collagen below the surface. Different scar shapes need different tools, so the first step is to look closely and name what you have. Rolling scars tethered to the base are released with subcision. Deep icepick scars respond to TCA CROSS, a precise application of acid into each pit. Broad texture is improved with microneedling or a fractional laser, both of which injure the skin in a controlled way so it rebuilds collagen. Most plans combine two of these across a series. Dark marks left behind are treated separately, usually with topicals and pigment-specific laser. Scar work is gradual: skin remodels for months after each session, so results keep improving between visits. Active acne is controlled first, because treating scars while new lesions are forming makes little sense.
What a session feels like
Numbing cream is applied for 30–45 minutes first. You then feel pressure and a prickling sensation. Skin looks flushed, like sunburn, for a day or two.

Aftercare
- No sun exposure, gym or steam for 48 hours
- Bland moisturiser and strict daily sunscreen
- No actives (retinoid, acid, vitamin C) for five days
- Do not pick flaking skin

- Active infection, including cold sores, in the treatment area
