About the clinic

A small practice, opened in February 2024.

Epidermcare, MD Skin Clinic and Wellness Centre sits on the ground floor of Pearl Classic Building in Motilal Nagar III, Goregaon West. It was founded so that people in this neighbourhood could see an MD dermatologist without travelling across Mumbai, and without being sold a package before being examined.

Dr. Pooja Shrivastava, MD (DVL), MBBS

Dr. Pooja is a dermatologist trained in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy. She founded Epidermcare in February 2024 and also consults at Kaya Skin Clinic, Vile Parle. Her practice covers both sides of the specialty: the medical conditions that need a prescription and follow-up, and the cosmetic work that needs a careful, conservative hand.

Our philosophy

Treat the cause, explain the plan, charge for what is needed.

Most skin problems are not mysterious. They are common conditions that have been treated with the wrong thing, for too short a time, or without addressing what is driving them. The value of seeing a dermatologist is not access to a machine. It is a correct diagnosis and someone who will follow it through with you.

So the practice is deliberately unhurried. Consultations are conversations. Where a blood test will change the plan, it is ordered. Where a simple prescription is enough, that is what you get. Where a procedure genuinely helps, the number of sessions and the cost are written down before anything starts.

We also do not promise results. Skin is biological and individual. What we can promise is a plan grounded in evidence, reviewed honestly at each visit, and changed when it is not working.

Your first visit

What actually happens

  1. Before you arrive

    Send your preferences on WhatsApp and the clinic confirms a slot. Bring a list of any products, tablets or treatments you are currently using, including anything bought over the counter.

  2. The consultation

    Dr. Pooja takes a history and examines the area properly under good light. She explains what she is seeing, in plain English, and answers questions before writing anything.

  3. The plan and the cost

    You receive a written plan: what is being treated, with what, for how long, and what it will cost. If a test is needed first, that is explained too.

  4. Afterwards

    Many treatments can begin the same day. Review visits are scheduled so the plan can be adjusted. You pay at the clinic by cash, card or UPI.

The clinic regularly sees patients travelling to Mumbai. Consultations are in English, WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us, and where a treatment needs several sessions we will tell you the interval before you book, so you know what fits into your trip and what does not.
