Legal
Privacy policy
Epidermcare, MD Skin Clinic and Wellness Centre ("the clinic", "we") respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website or attends the clinic. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Information this website collects
This website has no database, no accounts and no server-side storage of your details. The booking and enquiry forms run entirely in your browser. The information you type is saved only in your own browser's local storage, so that a refresh does not lose your progress, and is used to compose a WhatsApp or email message that you choose to send. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
When you press "Send on WhatsApp", your message is delivered through WhatsApp and is then subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy. When you choose "Email instead", your message is handled by your email provider and by our email service.
Information the clinic collects
When you attend the clinic we collect the information required to treat you safely: your name, contact details, age, medical and medication history, clinical findings, photographs where relevant, and records of treatment given. Health data is sensitive personal data and is treated as such.
Why we process it
- To provide medical care and to keep accurate clinical records
- To contact you about appointments, results and follow-up
- To meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations
- To process payment for services provided at the clinic
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. Clinical information is shared with another doctor, laboratory or pharmacy only where it is needed for your care, or where the law requires it.
Clinical photographs
Photographs may be taken to record your condition and progress. These form part of your medical record. They are never published, used on this website, on social media or in any marketing material without your separate, specific and written consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Retention
Clinical records are retained for the period required by applicable medical record-keeping rules, and then securely destroyed. Enquiry messages that do not lead to an appointment are kept only as long as needed to respond.
Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
- To access a summary of the personal data we hold about you
- To ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data
- To ask us to erase data where we are not required by law to keep it
- To withdraw consent you have previously given, such as consent to use photographs
- To nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf
- To raise a grievance with us, and to escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India
Grievance officer
Grievance Officer: to be nominated. Until then, please address any data protection concern to the clinic at Epidermcareclinic@gmail.com or +91 74001 09577, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
